Home treatment
If patients prefer to do the treatment at home, we make and fit the same type of plastic tray and supply the tubes of the gel. It is easy to place the gel in the trays and then fit them over the teeth. The trays are normally worn for an hour or so each day for a period of 14 consecutive days, until the desired shade has been achieved.

Combination method ('deep bleaching')
This method is very effective. It starts with the home method (as above) for 14 days, then we have a one hour session in the practice with a stronger power whitening gel (which can only be administered by a dentist).

The trays can be kept and used again with more gel if the shade needs to be 'topped-up' later.

Some slight tooth sensitivity is normal afterwards, but rarely last for more than a day or so. There are de-sensitizing solutions available to deal with this.
