Specialist Periodontist

Hatem is our periodontal specialist. He qualified from the Royal Dental
Hospital. He then gained experience in oral surgery and private
practice before embarking on a four year specialist training programme
in periodontology and implantology at Guy's Hospital.
In
addition to his treatments to help achieve gum health and the placement
of implants to replace missing teeth, he also carries out treatment to
help build-up bone and gum where it has been lost (bone & soft
tissue augmentation). Your dentist will usually refer you to Hatem for
a consultation first. This consultation will usually last for about an
hour, during which time he will carry out a very thorough examination
and discuss with you the treatment that he recommends. He will explain
the likely cause of any gum problems you may have as well as the
treatment that is necessary to put things right.He will advise you on
any treatment alternatives there may be, and the likely outcomes. Low
dose digital x-rays will be used as necessary.
