Teeth Whitening Harley Street | Laser Tooth Whitening London | Tooth Whitening W1
It is normal for teeth to discolour over time, but it is now possible
in most cases to make huge improvements to the shade of your teeth.
This can be done by applying a lightening gel to them. It is important
to check that the teeth are healthy first, and that there are no
particularly sensitive areas or cavities.
We offer 3 types of treatment - one that is done in our practice; one home treatment and one is a combination of the two.
Laser Tooth Whitening:
This is completed in one session at our practice in Harley Street,
London, W1 and takes about 2 hours.
This method instantly gives you
bright white teeth. First the gums are carefully covered to
protect them, then the gel is applied very precisely to the teeth. A
special 400nm spectrum light (UV) is then shone onto the gel to actice
it. We also give you accurately fitting plastic 'trays' to fit over
your teeth so that you can use the gel at home to maintain the
brightness of your teeth.
Home treatment:
If
patients prefer to do the treatment at home, we make and fit the same
type of plastic tray and supply the tubes of the gel. You can then
easily place the gel in the trays and fit them over your teeth. You
normally wear these for an hour or so each day for 12 consecutive days,
until you've achieved the shade you want.
Combination Method:
This
method of 'deep bleaching' is very effective. It stats with the home
treatment method (see above) for 14 days, followed by a one hour
session in our practice in Harley Street, W1 with a more powerful
whitening gel that can only be administered by a qualified dentist. You
can keep the trays and use them again with more gel if you want to
maintain your shade later.
You may experience some slight tooth sensitivity after this tooth
whitening treatment but this rately lasts for more than a day.
If this is the case, there are de-sensitizing solutions available to deal with this.
