Minimal intervention dentistry conserves
as much of the natural tooth as possible,
and has been described as 'dental treatment
at a low biological cost'. The current focus
on aesthetics and beauty can result in the
irreversible preparation of healthy tooth-substance.
It is very important that we consider any
treatment alternatives that would save precious
tooth structure, particularly for young
patients who may be very keen to have more
invasive cosmetic treatment on intact teeth.
During a consultation with Farid there
is time for a relaxed and informative discussion
of the patient's dental needs and hopes,
with all the available treatment options
explained fully.
Low dosage digital x-rays will be used
as necessary, and a written report and treatment
plan will be produced.
